That’s right! When a Spy runs up the stairs, don’t follow. You just stay right there at the bottom and shoot him until he is dead. Usually all the Spy’s focus will be on trying to lure you up, and in doing that (and likely shooting at you at the same time, so weave sideways a bit) the Spy will usually attract the rest of your team’s attention. If you are a Pyro, much of your job is attracting everyone’s attention to the Spy (with your spy highlighter!) and getting kills in assists. You don’t have to chase every Spy down if you have a sense of where everyone is and keep confirm every kill.
